HEAR THEIR STORIES

Meet Rooney

(she/her)

Rooney has been a Plume Member for 4 years. She has a former life as a comedian but is currently taking time to focus on film, poetry, and other creative work.

She wants to tell her story because Plume Health changed her life in a way she can’t quantify. Having the tools to grow and change was so empowering, and she has never felt so welcome during a time when she was terrified. She has attended many Plume events and participated in voice training workshops.

Meet Mel

(he/they)

Mel has been a Plume Member for just under a year. He was born and raised in Texas, works a remote job in finance, and has strong connections within the Black, queer community.

He wants to tell his story because they hope that people will feel confident when they see Plume Health ads, and for folks to know it is a real option that exists for them. The Plume Support Groups are a big part of why Mel enjoys his Plume membership.

Meet Ciel

(she/her)

Ciel has been a Plume Member for 10 months and started her transition journey with Plume Health. She is an immigrant from Colombia who works at a printing company, handling binding and final packaging.

She wants to tell her story because one of the things that scared her most about her transition was worries about access to gender-affirming care and hormones. Plume Health was a place where she didn’t have to fight for accessibility.
