For many transgender people, securing a legal name change is an important step toward making their legal identities match their lived experience. A lack of appropriate identity documents can deter people from applying for jobs, school, and public benefits, and can lead to discrimination. In this webinar, we are going to go over the basic steps on how to obtain a legal name change with our guest speakers, Tina (they/them) and Casey (they/he) from the Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund. TLDEF’s Name Change Project provides pro bono legal name change services to low-income transgender, gender non-conforming, and non-binary people through partnerships with some of the nation’s most prestigious law firms and corporate law departments.

Victoria Rose (she/her) will be sharing her secrets to simple, everyday feminizing makeup. Starting with skin, she will demonstrate how to properly cover beard shadow, by correcting the underlying blue tones. Additionally, Victoria will use a diagram used by surgeons performing facial feminization surgery to create a feminizing effect with only contours and highlights. Finally, she will demonstrate how to create a faux brow lift, while opening up the eye. The goal is to give each member new skills to take with them on their road to living their most authentic life.
