Due to current Florida state laws, we are limited in the care we can provide to new patients.
On August 26, 2024, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals allowed Florida to enforce laws that restrict gender-affirming care for transgender and gender non-conforming (TGNC) adults, and ban it entirely for minors. These restrictions are still in effect while the court reviews a previous ruling that found Florida’s anti-trans law, SB 254, to be unlawful.
Plume strongly opposes these harmful policies.
Gender-affirming care is medically necessary, life-saving, and supported by every major medical association in the U.S. We remain committed to expanding access to care and supporting our community through these legal challenges.
If you have not previously been prescribed gender-affirming hormones (like estrogen or testosterone) before May 17, 2023, Florida law requires that you:
After you’ve completed this in-person consent, you can receive ongoing care and prescription refills from that same provider through virtual visits.
To help you meet this requirement, Plume is continuously holding in-person events across Florida where members can complete this process. Sign up for our newsletter to be notified about upcoming event dates and locations.
If you started GAHT before May 17, 2023 and are looking for a new provider, you may still be eligible for care through Plume. Please email us at hello@getplume.co so we can help determine your options.

In order to provide healthcare services to you and give you medically appropriate care, we are required to get a recent blood pressure reading. You can get your blood pressure read for free at many pharmacies, go to your primary care doctor, or you may purchase a blood pressure cuff online.
