View resources for our Plume Community Corner Event: Sexuality Through Transition featuring our guest Dr. Ley Cray (She/they). She is the LGBTQIA+ Curriculum Coordinator for the Sexual Health Alliance and the founder of Transentience Coaching, and offers trauma-informed yoga and mindfulness for queer and trans populations.

The process of embracing our gender identity can often impact our sexual identity, as well—physically, psychologically, and existentially. Topics to be covered will include: Exploring the concept of sexual identity, discussing how to approach and work through internalized sexual shame, and preparing ourselves to reflectively and intentionally move forward into a state of affirmed acceptance of our full selves.

Transentience Coaching offers an adaptable, affirming amalgamation of philosophical exploration, neuro-inclusive mindfulness, and contemplative embodiment to aid persons struggling with existential issues related to gender, sexuality, relationships, identity, and authenticity.

Consent is easy as FRIES: Freely given, reversible, informed, enthusiastic, and specific. You get the final say over what happens with your body, and you are allowed to say “stop” at any time.

Several studies suggest that changes in sexual orientation among trans people are quite common. Among 115 Dutch participants, for example, 33% of trans women and 22% of trans men reported experiencing changes in their sexual attractions.

For some people, gender plays an important role when it comes to choosing romantic partners, but this isn’t the case for people who are panromantic. This article dives into what it means to be panromantic, how it relates to pansexuality and other identities, and more.

This book explains how sexuality works in terms of our identities, attractions, desires and practices, and explores how it intersects with our personal experiences and the world around us.

This book has sections on debunking myths, exploring your body for the first time, sex toys, tips from trans people for trans people, and a section on masturbating when you have a physical disability and a caretaker that’s written by disabled folks.

Dr. Diamond is known for her research on sexual fluidity, which describes the capacity for individuals to experience shifts in their pattern of same-sex and other-sex attractions over time. She studies the expression of sexual attractions and sexual identity over the lifetime, and the influences of early life experiences on later sexual development. “‘whether we were born this way or not, it shouldn’t matter because regardless we deserve to be treated as respected people”.
