Featuring Plume Medical Provider, Sierra (she/her)

Thursday, May 18th

4:30pm PST / 7:30pm EST

How does E actually work in the body? Why are there so many different options for estradiol based medication, and what are the differences between estradiol and the variety of different testosterone blockers? Why do some people experience more changes and growth than others, even when on the same dose of HRT? Learn more about the science behind E and how it works with our very own queer medical provider, Sierra (she/her).

Sierra (she/her) is a cis, queer, Family Nurse Practitioner who decided to make gender affirming care her primary focus in 2017 in order to support a community close to her heart. Sierra prioritizes centering the needs of each patient and takes an anti racist, health at every size, sex positive, trauma informed approach. She enjoys being one of coordinators of the medical track of the Philadelphia Trans Wellness Conference, serving as an expert clinical consultant for a local LGBTQ clinic, and sharing information at universities and conferences. Outside of work, Sierra invests time in animal rescue, triathlons, and spoiling her pitbull and 2 cats.
