Binders, Tucking, and Clothing for Trans Bodies
Post-Event Resources

Featuring Co-Founder of UrBody, Mere (they/them)

Tuesday, June 13th

4:30pm PST / 7:30pm EST

For many trans and nonbinary folks, gender-affirming medical interventions are not always the goal or financially accessible. In this webinar, we will discuss the ways gender-affirming garments can, when used safely, be invaluable tools that support self-expression and body affirmation. This workshop will feature Mere (they/them), who is the co-founder of UrBody, a gender-inclusive underwear and activewear brand committed to redefining gender & body norms in the fashion industry while expanding access to health-conscious, functional garments designed for self-expression and body affirmation. They will include information about binding and tucking safety, where to find gender-inclusive underwear and apparel, and the experiences of community members.

Mere Abrams, LCSW (they/them), has dedicated 10+ years to advancing gender inclusivity and LGBTQIA+ causes. Mere’s expertise spans education, mental health, clinical research, and advocacy to create a more equitable society for people of all genders and sexualities. Mere is also the co-founder of Urbody, a gender-inclusive underwear and activewear brand committed to redefining gender & body norms in the fashion industry while expanding access to health-conscious, functional garments designed for self-expression and body affirmation.
